Yin Yoga
This style of Yoga is passive and slow. It is a journey into the deeper layers of the whole individual (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual). Yin Yoga is a practice of surrender, slowing down, and letting go. Each asana (pose) is held for 3-10 minutes, allowing time and space for the releases to occur gently with the help of gravity and the breath.
The stillness of the practice is meant to honor the edge of discomfort and to bring in a more potent awareness of the internal experience and the subtle body.
Yin Yoga is not Restorative Yoga -there is always an edge to meet here.
A guided session is tailored to your specific needs and may be paired with a series of more active Yang asanas or recommendations for Yang practices to ensure proper balance of Yin and Yang.
